Responsibilities & Contact Persons

The doctoral programme in Philological and Cultural Studies is anchored at the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies. In addition to your supervisor, the Directors of the Doctoral Studies (DSPL 42), the Doctoral Advisory, and staff of the StudiesServiceCenter are important contact persons in both academic and administrative terms. There will soon also be a separate coordination office for the Doctoral School, which will then act as a central point of contact.

The official steps towards the institution of the Doctoral Advisory Boards are put down in the statutes §15 (7) governing university studies. The Doctoral Advisory Board is of particular importance concerning students' project presentations at the faculty. Its members are in charge of one or more fields of doctoral studies, or of a larger part of a specific field of doctoral studies within one curriculum.
