Our new Doctoral School of Philological and Cultural Studies is located at one of the world's leading centres for research in the humanities. It offers a varied and diverse range of programmes with research-relevant, thematically attractive and innovative specialisations.

The doctoral school is inclusive and open to all doctoral students at our faculty. In addition to substantial financial support, affiliation with the Doctoral School PhilCult offers, among other things, involvement in attractive and innovative research areas and projects as well as active participation in a variety of overarching programmes.

Our fellows receive subject-specific supervision from leading researchers within the framework of initially twelve independently operating sections, which cover disciplinary, thematic and/or regional areas.
