Registering for the DocSchool PhilKult
How do I sign up?
We have simplified the process for signing up for the DocSchool PhilKult following your formal admission to Doctoral Studies ('Zulassung'):
- choose one of the Twelve Sections you would like to belong to*
- write a short e-mail to the Head of Section including:
- the working title of your dissertation
- the name of your supervisor(s)
- two or three sentences giving an idea of the topic and your approach
- The Head of Section will then forward the e-mail with comments to the Coordinator.
- The Coordinator will then contact the doctoral student and ask them to sign up to the 'Code of Good Practice'.
- After receiving this confirmation, the Coordinator together with the Heads of Section will add the doctoral student to the various forms of communication within the DocSchool (Section Moodle-Site, Massmailer etc.)
*It is only possible to be a member of one Section, although you can always attend the events and activities of other Sections with the permission of the Head of Section.
How can I change my Section?
You can only change your Section at the end of the financial year.
The process is:
- get in touch with the Head of Section of the new Section you would like to join and write them a short mail explaining the situation with:
- the working title of your dissertation
- the name of your supervisor(s)
- two or three sentences giving an idea of the topic and your approach
- The Head of Section will then forward the e-mail with comments to the Coordinator.
- The Coordinator will then contact the doctoral student, the old Head of Section and the new Head of Section to ensure the student is added to or removed from the relevant forms of communication within the DocSchool.
