Data Management Courses

As a doctoral student in PhilKult, you will use many different types of data in the course of your projects: primary sources, secondary literature, images, sound recordings, interviews, quantitative data and, of course, the texts that you yourself will write for your thesis, conference presentation and the wider public.

We are fortunate that the PhilKult Faculty has a specialist, Monika Bargmann, who provides courses and advice to doctoral students to master their use of data.

Further information on the courses can be found in the flyer here or else on the Faculty website:

https://phil-kult.univie.ac.at/en/research-support/research-data-management/training/

The relevant courses for doctoral students are entitled "Trainings for Master and PhD students in the Humanities" (the second section).

The relevant courses take place on:

15th November 2024 (English, online),

10th December 2024 (German, in person),

25th and 27th February 2025 (German, online).

You can register for all courses via https://rdm.univie.ac.at/de/training-und-anmeldung/
