Welcome to the Doctoral School PhilKult
The Doctoral School is an intellectual community with two main purposes: to nurture the next generation of research talent and to sound the importance of language - philology - in today's world.
The activities of the DocSchool are supplementary to the formal requirements of doctoral study at the University of Vienna, affording new spaces for initiative, creativity and collaboration. With a diverse range of languages in the DocSchool, we are truly international in outlook and outreach, but remain grounded in the city of Vienna and the vitality of its cultural life.
For questions regarding the doctoral programme — including supervision, co-supervision, changes of supervisor, the doctoral thesis agreement, recognition of previous qualifications, and other study-related matters — please contact the Directorate of Doctoral Studies (DSPL) (see contact persons).
Administrative procedures related to doctoral studies are handled by the StudiesServiceCenter (SSC, doktorat.sscpkw@univie.ac.at).
