The Doctoral School is an intellectual community with two main purposes: to nurture the next generation of research talent and to sound the importance of language - philology - in today's world.
The activities of the DocSchool are supplementary to the formal requirements of doctoral study at the University of Vienna, affording new spaces for initiative, creativity and collaboration. With a diverse range of languages in the DocSchool, we are truly international in outlook and outreach, but remain grounded in the city of Vienna and the vitality of its cultural life.
